Home Forums Discussions Problems Blurry fonts w/ Windows 10 high DPI

We got a new Dell Vostro laptop with recommended screen settings of 1920x1080 with 125% scaling. The screen and fonts are gorgeous but when we launch Amazing Charts 10.0.2 it looks very blurry. My understanding is some applications are high DPI aware, but others just get magnified. Since 10.0.2 is so new I figured it would be high DPI aware?

This is a bad situation for us. We are replacing 5 year old laptops and Amazing Charts looks noticeably worse on the new ones. It's very bad to get new hardware and have the main program we use look worse. What can we do? Thanks.

Some of the Vostro 15.6 inch laptops have "15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080)" while others have "15.6-inch HD (1366 x 768)". I suspect the lower resolution version would not have the above issue with Amazing Charts.

I will write AC support about this issue. If there is no software-fix I suspect getting the lower resolution laptop is a good workaround.

Windows 10 has a setting to "fix blurry fonts"
It works, sort of.

I have a Lenovo Carbon X-1 with a screen resolution 2560 x 1440, but to make it work with AC I have to set it at 1280 x 768, 100% scaling.

That gives blurry fonts, which the Win 10 "reduce screen blur" setting mostly removes.

Running at full resolution with 150 or 200% scaling also works for AC, but makes Updox unreadable.

There is some coding to do to catch up with the hardware, but I doubt that it will happen.

If we all request high dpi AC maybe it'll become a priority. Such a shame that to make it look best right we need to run low-res screens.

Also try ultrawide it's great, but AC keeps recentering it's windows instead of sticking to left or right side. (AC was designed for 1 lowish res screen only...)
