I'm trying to generate a report that shows me a list of all patients seen daily including the patient's insurance company. I am able to, using the report generator, select notes and encounters and select "date =" , but I can't figure out how to show the insurance company. Does anyone have advice?
Thanks,
Marc

Add a second line of Insurance name <> *leave the value field blank*

This will add the insurance company name on the report as the <> operator stands for "Not Equals". So you are asking the report to find insurance names that are not blank.

Mark
thanks for taking the time to try and help
insurance "name" is not available as a choice from demographics. when I selected insurance from the demographics and put in orerator <>, what shows in report is "not equals" even though the selected patients are insured.

Hi Marc.

Sorry about that, I was working from memory on that report. You are correct on the "Insurance" from the demographics. That gives you insurance name, and the the operator of "<>", and then leave the value field blank. The part I forgot to add in my response is after the report runs, click the "Show all query results" button at the bottom of the screen. That will display the insurance name.

I tried to add a screen shot of the report but the forum is not letting me upload the image.

You can email me at mdabeck@harriscomputer.com if you want more clarification or we can arrange a time for me to call and remote in and work on some reports with you.
