I recently had to euthanize my GSD. So I been contemplating trying my luck again. My concern is that this is the second back to back GSD that had passed in their primes. One at about 1 years old. It was healthy, one day came in from the back yard yelp and went into arrest and passed. The second most recent was 6.5 years old, relatively healthy and developed acute hemorrhagic pericardial tamponade thought to have been secondary to angiosarcoma of the heart or pericardium and had to be euthanized. I don't believe I want to do GSD anymore. Perhaps another breed. But I am looking for a real good breeder not some one who breeds as a hobby with limited resources. One who is actively breeding out problems. Heck at this point I wouldn't care if it wasn't registered. As long as its a sound dog. Any ways I thought I'd see what ideas you guys have that may be of help.
