Hello Amazing forum,

About 2 months ago I updated a client of mine to v.10. And the client told me right away, AC seems to be operating much faster. But, as time went on my client said that it was slowing down. While this could be due to imported files and such over the course of 2 months, I found this option under administrator's screen.

I have ran "Optimize Databases" program some time ago and the client reports that it seems to be as fast as the initial upgrade.

So, my question to any user is have you tried this utility and is it recommended to perform, let's say, once a month?

Each practice is a bit different, just as their hardware config is different, but a couple of very simple tests when they complain about performance is to restart their AC services, and ask them if it seems faster.

If that doesn't make a difference, try restarting SQL Server on the AC 'server'.

After doing this for a very long time, these are the fastest ways to check a few things. Part of the issue is you can document ALL of the technical details, or have the end-users give you quick feedback, then dig deeper as necessary.

The "Optimize Databases" option should be reorganizing the indexes, so yea, it should help performance if there is bad fragmentation smile

I work with ACPM smile
