Using version 10.02. In the last version used(v.9), electronic ERx refill requests were automatically saved in the chart of the patient. Since we upgraded, this has not been happening. If I OK a refill request, there is no record of this in the chart(that I can see). Is there some setting that has been changed. If not this is a BAD thing because there is no record of refills if we respond to the electronic refill requests.

I agree. I am on V9.4.3, and have noticed the same issue. The only way I have found to check this is to go to the summary page, right click on the medication and select prescription history.

There are 2 things that could be causing refill requests not to show. First, there is a setting under the "Misc Preferences" section of the admin options (cog wheel button in the lower right corner) called "Do Not Save Electronic Refills as Addendums". Checking this off will not save any addendums for refills.

Second, in the patient's past encounters tab in the chart, there is a checkbox on the left that says "Show Refill Requests". This will filter the refill requests in that screen (I believe this is new for V10).

Thank you! Checking the box "show refill request" in the past encounters tab did it. The other way in the misc preferences section, the "Do Not Save Electronic Refills as Addendums" is already unchecked by default.

Mark@AC,

I had no idea you could do this, I have been double entering all of these direct requests from the pharmacy. This is going to save a huge amount of time. I had to do both steps that you described above. I am on Version 10.0.2. Thank You!!!!!
