Hello my Amazing friends!!!
Curious to know what scanners work best, fast, and trouble free using the Remote Scan software to an AC hosting environment? Any suggestions/comments?
Thanks in advance, Paul Lucia

I would second that, the Fujitsu scansnap is a great small scanner.

Two issues: We use old Xerox Documate 152 scanners. They are fast (20ppm), color, B&W, grayscale, full duplex (double-sided scanning)and come bundled with Paperport which is excellent. We get them from Ebay and Adorama.Today there's a used one on Ebay for $69.99 and that can range up to $250. They come with both TWAIN and WIA drivers and can scan directly into AC and have a very small footprint. The other issue is that I have an older HP all-in-one laser printer/fax/copier/scanner which is good at everything but scanning. Anyone using a multifunction laser printer/scanner that has decent speeds? Lane Cook

I've heard the latest ScanSanp's do not support Twain or WIA. Can anyone recommend a specific model number for the ScanSnap's you are using, or any other scanners that may be recommended?
Thank you, Paul

You can still Import without TWAIN or TWIA. Imported Items can take PDF's, DOC's, etc. Most efficient way is to have Scans dump in a folder with no prompts. Then the user just drags and drops into the II.
Scansnap's interface is better than the AC import interface (auto-rotate, color adjustment, etc.) If you want TWAIN, you can look at their heavy duty model, the Fujitsu Fi-7160 which has a TWAIN driver.
Current Model Names: Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 | Fujitsu Fi-7160 Previous Model Names: Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 | Fujitsu Fi-6130

Hello,
I have the Fujitsu ix500. I love it. It scans to folder and automatically loads to Updox.
I also recently purchased the Fujitsu Fi-7160, however it seems more complicated. How can I set up like my Scansnap, so that it automatically scans to folder?

For future reference, starting a new thread will usually result in a faster reply. You can actually get the ScanSnap software for the Fi series scanners as well: http://imagescanner.fujitsu.com/global/dl/win-10-fi-7x60.htmlScanSnap Manager for fi Series 1.0.12 You will need to input your serial number from the scanner. Paperstream IP can also save to a folder, but it's a bit more complicated to setup.

Thank you Sandeep!
It worked.
Surprised why they would even care for serial number?

Great news!
I guess they don't want unauthorized users downloading the software. Brother does the same thing for their label printers. Not exactly sure why. The label software is pretty bad. It makes sense for licensed software like Scandall or Adobe Acrobat that they include with their scanners.

We use a Fujitsu fi-6130z. It has lots of scan functions/options and doesn't take up too much space on the desk. I like that I can create custom scan types with the settings completely modified for our needs. No more black blob licenses. It scans about 50 pages per feed and can duplex scan, which saves lots of time.
