I run 2 versions of AC: in office client/server WS 2012 clients Win 10 Pro AC 9.1, assisted living facility laptop Win 10 Pro AC 10. Lately run into problems with both configurations, AC randomly freezes up unresponsive to any mouse clicks have to go into task manager shut it down then open it. Presume this is a Win 10 / AC issue but ? what to do about it.

I have had momentary freezes where AC takes a 2-5 second period of unresponsiveness. While i had not thought of this as a Win 10 issue, I have not noticed it on the Win 7 machine (most of my machines are on 10).
Still it is annoying to have to wait for AC to 'wake up". Your description suggests that the freeze is permanent and that i have not seen. Might be worth chatting with tech support.

I have observed this also. Not often, but more than once. Haven't had to kill AC with Task Manager yet, but "freeze" lasts almost a minute. Version 9.4.3 (also happened when I was using 9.1). Even more annoying is the AC window that comes up every 3-5 times I go the the Messages Outbox, that says AC is going to close due to an error. Tech support couldn't figure that out.

So, I am confused. You run 9.1 and 10? You are running two different databases?
And Scott said asked in the Shoutbox if v10 had gone MIA? Are you on a beta version?

yes run 2 separate databases, that is a sequelae of the less than functional database merge function of previous versions of AC. And yes have beta version 10.0.1 and other than the aforementioned 'freeze up' I have no problems with it.

Been reading and writing comments here for a long time, koby. This is the first time I have heard of someone running two different versions of AC, both in active use (as opposed to a "sandbox"). My hat is off to you. I think.

when it became impossible to merge databases I by default had 2 separate instances of AC: the office 'server based-lots of patient/data' and assisted living facility 'lives on a separate laptop about 40 patients no so big database' so I beta test on the assisted living AC before going in onto the office/server AC.

I just ran into the same problem with Amazing Charts locking up, yesterday. Tech support was on my computer for about a half an hour and could not figure out why it was locking up. They ended up reinstalling Amazing Charts on the computer (a laptop, not the server). It might be best to reinstall AC. I am using version 9.4.3. I am awaiting formal release of version 10, before I install the upgrade.
