Hello Amazing Charts users!
I figured I'd register to be part of your forum and be an ear to hear any troubles or questions you may have about Updox and the integration we do with Amazing Charts.
I've worked with some wonderful people across the US and would love to help those of you on this board out as well!

Rob, Thank you for joining the board! We appreciate your willingness to engage us. I am sure there will be plenty of questions for you. The intial ones that come to mind are about the process of using the portal (as I have posted recently) but let me think about this a little...

Welcome aboard.
We have a vendors forum, but given your integration with AC, general discussion might be a more appropriate place for you to post.
There are frequently questions about Updox here, many of them are in the shout box. They especially relate to outages so that would be a good place to start a discussion

I pay for and rely on Updox for importing radiology report, hospital transcriptions, specialist notes, faxes. Rely on Updox for patient portal and I send every test or report back up to patients that have a portal.
Slow responsiveness drive us crazy. Instead of click click click it's click/pause/ click/pause. Edit and sign is even worse. For sending items in AC to updox, it's already a hassle to print from AC then select patient in updox, then send with message, then copy message back to AC for record. That's partly on AC to improve integration. Add in pauses and it's a bit painful.
Random and relatively frequent downtimes are inexcusable. Implies a poorly/cheaply constructed and run data infrastructure.
What are you doing to proactively ensure excellent bandwidth and uptime?

Dear Amazing Charts Community,
There have been recent posts that contained inappropriate messaging posted on the UBB that we have removed. Please keep in mind that this forum is intended to bring the Amazing Charts community together to share success stories, possible pain points and often times, best practices. We ask that everyone keep their message on topic as it relates to Amazing Charts software and services.

Welcome to the User Board, Rob. I have a question for you or others on the User Board. I have started to try to use the UPDOX Web version since I am having trouble with the desktop version timing out, inexplicably, and at random. No one from UPDOX support has been able to figure out the problem, although they have tried. This is a relatively new occurrence for me.
Since attempting to use the Web version, over the last 24 hours, I have found that, when I attempt to print a patient summary to UPDOX on the Web version, it is not going through. However, I seem to be able to print prescriptions to UPDOX. What is the solution for this problem? The patient charts are piling up!

I did answer my own question by installing the printer for the Web version. It took a little while but I followed the instructions on the UPDOX support page. It would be helpful if there was a better instruction manual provided to help explain the process of using the Web version of UPDOX. I do not think that the support documents have been updated in a long time.

DoctorMel - Glad you were able to resolve your issue. If you have any issues with support documentation I'd be happy to review it and kick it over to the right team.
I'll be honest here, I may not have all the answers when it comes to what is going on in your particular Updox account due to the internet environment which version your running etc etc lots comes into play.
I would love the ability to hear specific workflow issues you run into, and perhaps tie those to a feature Updox can do within the web system.
I would ask that any support request would continue to use our support number as we have a lovely group of people over there highly trained to resolve your issues.

I have been using UPDOX for almost 7 years now and I am very well acquainted with its use. It is my understanding that UPDOX wishes users to go to the web-based version as opposed to the desktop version, which I have been using. I have found that the desktop version is easier on the eye and, from my standpoint, easier to use than the web version. As I noted, above, there is little in the way of documentation, that I have found, about using UPDOX on the web. Being experienced, I know where to look to find the answers. If I was a new customer, however, I think that it would be more difficult. Maybe there are some YouTube videos out there that I don't know about. I use Amazing Charts, and they have some great training videos. They are a great resource. I agree that your UPDOX support team is great, as well. The problem is that the support hours are limited. For many of us, use of the electronic record and UPDOX requires many hours after work and on weekends. It would be nice to have better live support.
The biggest issue I have, and I am not alone on this, is that the UPDOX desktop version is timing out at random, even when the user is in the middle of working on a document. The window will then close, and the user has to start all over again. I have contacted UPDOX support about this but I have not been able to have any resolution of this. My partners, in the office, have had the same problem. I would appreciate some sort of response or solution. This has only recently started happening to me but has happened others for some time. I wonder if there is some sort of conflict with Microsoft windows? The web version is not timing out to any significant degree.
