Hello Community, After many years of AC on a client server, we moved AC to the cloud. We've been mostly pleased with the functionality and lack of "server worries". However, we've now encountered a new set of challenges. We previously used our $1500 canon scanner to import relevant items: EKG's, old records, insurance information, patient medication lists, home b/p readings etc. The import tab in AC doesn't communicate with our scanner, and it appears that the only solution is to use Updox to import those items. AC tech support said we needed to purchase a bridging module and suggested contacting the manufacturer of the scanner. Anyone have a workaround? Thanks, Aldo

3 options for importing from a local scanner.
<1>Updox is one which you know. You can run Updox Central on a local machine to make that portion run faster. <2>File drag and drop, more clicks, but also works <3>Install a scanner handler that connects through it's own encrypted tunnel, allowing you to scan as you have in the past

Thank you for your prompt response. Options 2 and 3 sound interesting, especially #3. Could you please explain a little more in depth? Thanks.
