Has anyone had good luck reducing dual system data entry using the interface that X-Link has built for AC and Medical Manager or other practice management software? Does the interface work as advertised? X-link can't provide references.....

Thanks,
Chris

My experience with them is with linking Medisoft and Ac
The support is very poor and ridiculous
They charged me multiple times for the same issue
Have only been able to get Demos cross over
Changes in ins do not reflect accurately
Thumbs down all the way

Chris,

We use EZ Claim Premier. My billing company likes it better than e clinical works.

No double entry. Patient demographics, ICD 10 codes, CPT codes, and now payment amount and method (e.g. visa) transfer from Amazing Charts To EZ Claim. We use ZirMed for claims clearinghouse.

I hope that helps. All for one and one for all!

My experience is with AdvancedMD and AC using Xlink.

Works reasonably well as far as sending demographics (some) and schedule to ac. If you use AMD as the data entry site, data will go to AC and any changes in the information you make in AMD will reflect in AC.

We use AC to enter the charges and they go back to AMD well with no problems. Changes made in AC will reflect in a few minutes in AMD.

I also found Xlink support to be pathetic at best. They will also nickle and dime you. For example. AC has two places for "suffix" (Jr. Sr. etc) and "Salutation" (Mr. Mrs. etc) AMD only has one: "title" Xlink simply ignores these two fields so nothing is transferred. If you use the templates in AC like I do, and use the gender specific templates, then you would know how important this is. X-link told me it would be a "custom" interface and I would have to pay extra to have it transferred. How much? $1000....

In the schedule, the comments placed on AMD do not transfer to AC. Again this would also be a "custom" interface. The cost? Another $500

So total charge for both would be $1500, but they give me a new customer discount of $500... For something I feel the interface should be do in to begin with. My biggest complaint is that I do not find them trustworthy. I asked the saleswoman specifically what would be interfaced and she told me it would be a "complete" interface. I got the email to prove it.

Also, if you use a 'fake' provider those appointments will not transfer to AC. They will charge you an extra fee for each provider. I belive $100 per month for the first provider and $50 for the second one and thereafter. I use a fake provided to schedule appointments for my office staff. For example, as a surgeon I have a surgery coordinator and nurse. I set up a schedule in AMD for them at no charge as they realize these are non billing "providers." XLINK makes no distinction and will charge you for them.

My advise? if you have to use xlink, consider using another company. I actually spoke with another company called CTECHUS and they charged a bit more upfront, but promised a more robust, completed interface. I also spoke with AC person in charge of interfaces and he actually told me to go with CTECHUS, but I wanted to save money... I regret my decision but I am now committed to Xlink. Would I do it again? Not with XLINK.

Feel free to contact me if you want more information. I hope this helps.
