Has anyone discovered a way to disable this unwelcome dis-service to AC subscribers and their patients?
For many medications (e.g. conjugated estrogen vaginal cream, sertraline, atorvastatin) a "coupon" icon appears next to the drop down box when selecting a medication for eRx.
1.) THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE TO CHOOSE THE SAME MEDICATION WITHOUT THE COUPON.
2.) When proceeding to the prescribe page, in the middle of the right hand side is an unwelcome checkbox "Print Program" checked by default. No matter how many times you uncheck it, it will reappear checked by default the next time you try to prescribe the same medication, requiring yet another unwanted work flow task everytime you eRx to uncheck this box. When your fingers are flying trying to complete all the tasks required to meet the patient's needs, generate an audit proof note supporting your E&M code, and MU, it is often that this goes by unnoticed triggering this unethical misdirection.
3.) If you do not uncheck the box, then 4 pages of unwanted propaganda encouraging the patient to visit <BrandNameMedicine>.com and urging the patient to harass their doctor to specify "Dispense as written" for Brand name alternative instead of the generic you just prescribed print out of your printer wasting tons of toner and paper all day long.
4.) The only way I have found around this is the further inconvenience of unwanted system changes disabling Windows10 automatic default to last printer used, and undesired setting default printer to Updox for my staff's unwanted extra work deleting all this underhanded misdirection from our inbox.

I thought I was paying the complete cost of my EMR, only to discover it appears now that I am having to suffer corruption of my eRx generics by "ScriptGuide", the Brand Name pharmaceutical companies, and PDR Preferred Network Partners Walmart and Sam's Club Pharmacies all of whom appear on these unwanted printouts.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't know workaround, but am also bothered by related problem of sometimes seeing brand but not generics listed as available on formulary check. Have been ignoring, usually no problem with Rx going through without prior auth, etc.

That works! Many thanks.
In my v8.2.5 it is a bit obscured to find:
Edit->My Preferences->User Preferences->GeneralSettingsII->Participate in eCopay and ScriptGuide program (checked by default, uncheck here, Save Changes)
