Okay so I have let AC know but now a week later I haven't heard jack (censored) back.
IF you have some diagnosis for the left side (left ankle pain, left shoulder pain, left lateral epicondylitis) , the search feature is gone. if you know the icd10 code and you put it in, the left has been replaced with bilateral. this wasn't happening in the beginning of september and then iwas gone for 10 days and now have the issue again. I am using version 8.2.5 so if someone is using a newer version then that can you type in left ankle pain, or left tennis elbow and see if you get a result or is it gone?
THanks!

Hi Dr Mody.
Sorry for the delayed reply from support. I just jumped on version 9.2, which is the current release, and the diagnosis you listed above ARE there when I try and search them in the Most Recent Encounter screen. You may need to upgrade to 9.2 to get a current codes database.
I hope that helps and again, sorry for the delayed response.

Mark@AC:
what about the 9.1? and why did they randomly disappear from my version? isn't 9.2 in beta, and last I heard when i changed hard drives about a month ago was that 9.2 was still having a lot of issues.
willing to upgrade but not if tons of errors.

Hi Dr Mody,
Sorry I didn't respond yesterday as I was traveling all day. I had an associate look in both V8.3 and V9.1 for those diagnosis and he did find them as I did, so I wonder if the issue might be with your DB uniquely. I will enter a tech support ticket for you and have someone reach out to you to further investigate this.
As far as 9.2 goes, it is our current release and not in Beta. I can forward you over the release knows which have the upgrades and known issues in them.

Good afternoon! and HAPPY FRIDAY!
So the word is that development is aware of this issue and are looking to get it resolved for the next version. For now what you can do is manually over-type bilateral with left or right. So just click in the Assessment box and where it says bilateral, change it to left (or right). A little bit of an inconvenience but a solid workaround until it's fixed!

Same with me, many but not all left sided diagnoses (by code number, often ending in 2) state bilateral. Many other errors in ICD10 descriptions, such as left or right shoulder pain only being available as "radiating to" shoulder, etc, etc, etc. Also lack of many, if not most, standard short or long descriptions for ICD 10 codes. I, also, am still using version 8.2.4 (scared off by problems with restoring 9+ versions to another computer, as in event of hardware failure).

@rheo :
I agree easy work around, but in the world of seeing a good amoutn of patients a day, remember which code is saying bilateral and which one left in the search works is a pain in the [censored] to be honest (left ankle pain is missing and is listed as bilateral ankle pain, but left foot pain is present), Mark seems to think it may be my db and needs to be fixed so will keep you all posted.

@Sportsdocchicago
I'm totally with you that this is a huge pain. I did get confirmation that their resolution is in testing with development so it seems like it's a fix that will be ready to be rolled out in the next version.

It used to be that you could change the name once to what you wanted and it would stick to that name, now it doesn't let you change the name to what you want it to be.
