Why are almost all fracture codes in AC in yellow? (not recommended)? Makes it very difficult to finish and sign off on a note.

Hi Dr Godbole.

Fracture codes will be in yellow initially, as most injuries need to be refined down to include laterality and other indicators. Simply double click on the yellow code to begin the refining process. This will open a new search window that will allow you to refine the injury to include laterality, Anatomic Site, and the extension (initial visit, subsequent, sequela).

Here is a video describing the process: Adding Problems
