Hey Folks,
It's been a long time since I haunted the boards here even as an On Ice Official that tends to live in and around the boards (sorry bad hockey joke ;-). My life and times at Village Medical have taken a long strange turn. I will be a gent at this juncture and not share the worst of the details here in this forum, but it should be known I did all that I could have and more until I just could not any longer.
So, this pretty experienced AC User, Contributor, small network maintainer, Local and Regional Promoter, Champion for Doctors and Patients against the horrors of what is Modern American Private Cartel Medicine is looking for a decent office job. I am presently searching for something with some flexibility especially as it relates to my Son's High School Hockey Season, both Kids' needs in general as a single father trying to rebuild his life and do all I can to repair, help dust off and get back on track my two wonderful kids.
If any of you AC users Doctors and other Practitioners Providers are in need of a pretty decent Office Type, Jack of All Trades ( I'm pretty handy with general tools as a darn good shadetree mechanic of my Old Jeeps and MOPARS) I'm all ears and open to discussing offers and seeing what we might be able to come to agree upon.
I basically Built Village Medical of CNY from the ground up not really knowing anything about the business before hand and seeking out a few good mentors and similar knowledgeable friends, got up to speed, secured funding, got privileges in order for a fairly new doc that had never practiced post medical school in this town before as she was working over an hour away in Binghamton at the time, found and improved quality commercial space at a very reasonable price, promoted the practice in a number of ways, including securing the Doctor a regular spot every week on the local afternoon news broadcast of our NBC affiliate replacing a nationally known and recognized Positive Health Doctor and Dean of the SUNY Upstate College of Medicine when he moved on to Cleveland Clinic,

When opportunity knocks then I go and try to secure, create and do what I can. Much of this Gut Instinct comes from my many years of being involved in various forms of media, live performing arts and theater, TV & Radio as a general tech and Audio Engineer back in NYC and New England before my ex wife started her medical career.
I've got a BA in Psychology from Lehman College, downstate in the CUNY system. I also have about 10 years of being Village Medical of CNY's Practice Manager until issues far beyond my control lead to it's eventual demise.
Well that's about it for now folks. But please do drop me a PM if you feel you might be interested or know of somebody else in our field who might be as well. I'm even considering transitioning to Vet Animal Medicine where there really is just about NO Fee for Service or Modern Healthcare Reform Insurance and the like to deal with. See link to old post I wrote here to get a fell for who I am all you newer members and lurkers out there.
