So, I have not used the new letter writer much at all. I can figure it out as a letter writer, but I have questions as far as templates.
I made a template, which when I try to print it, it uses the letter writer. As such, it has my practice name and demographics, the user name and demographics, etc.
For this particular template, I don't need the addresses of each. It takes up way too much room since I am just giving it to the patient.
Is there a way to customize what is shown on the letter writer per template?

Hey Bert. You can customize letter writer templates by clicking on the "Add/Edit templates" button on the left of the letter writer. This will open the template editor. You can select your template from the list and make any changes. We have a walk through tutorial here: Creating Letter Writer Templates If you still have issues, shoot me a message and we can arrange a time for me to help you.

I started to answer and became sidetracked. I'm not sure I had actually seen the tutorial, which is good. The key is the default template, because it can give you not only the letterhead automatically but fill in the base information for both the patient and person you are sending the letter. My default looks like this: 8/31/2016
Robert Jones MD 1200 Bright Smile Drive N. Kingstown, RI 02852 (987) 555-1212
Re: John Doe DOB: 02/03/1992 1 Fake Drive Apt. B Faketown, RI 01234-1234
Dear Dr. Jones (I tried a to show you the actual template but it would not show on the website)
Thus when you open the letterwriter you have a lot less typing that needs to be done. Hope this helps. Again, the tutorial is helpful, probably wish I had seen it before I figured this all out.

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them

It's also possible to put your actual letterhead into the templates. I got our letterhead from the printers as a jpeg then copied and pasted it on the 'header' of the letter writer and then adjusted the size, margins etc. Once that's done, all your letters will print out looking very official!
