I'm trying to get out of billing software that a collective group of docs share. I use AC and am trying to find a cost-effective and usable billing system. I've got the staff but I hate our current system Appian. I'm just a one guy practice and don't want to pay for bells an whistles I don't use or need. What do yall recommend?

scslmd here has created an excel macro to convert the exported AC billing file to tab delimited, which can be uploaded to office ally.
scslmd has offered his macro for use, and OA is free (if <=50% medicare/medicaid claims), and that's the cheapest i know of.
i am a longtime AC user (since 2002), but i confess, i haven't cruised these forums for a long time, and i'm glad to know others here are working to find similar solutions.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Both of you...All of you out there. PLEEEEASE, write Jon and let him know just how much we all need his Practice Managment-Billing Module and as soon as possible. He needs to hear it from those of us out here in user land....I'm just about to buy the x-link and Altapoint but wish like heck that Jon was nearly ready.

i've emailed scslmd, without reply yet; i've talked with jon regarding an uploadable file format for office ally, and that's not highest on his list; the labcorp lab interface is, and bugging him isn't going to change that.
so what's the solution?
use the current account tab in AC to keep track, and use the upcoming pm package in OA; i've also asked OA for help in uploading billing info to them.
i would make the file converter for csv to tab delimited format if i could, and may just try this weekend.
any other ideas?

Hold it! as of 01/27/07 OFFICE ALLY export format is not working yet. Ive contacted A/C and was told they're working on it. My apologies for my previous post, I may have jumped the gun.
