All,

Our users are experiencing some typing issues. When they start typing in a patients chart the cursor will move to front then the first letter ends up at the end of the word. Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this nonsense? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Is this in the letter writer or in the chart itself? Which version of AC?

Are they typing on laptops? If so then their thumbs or hands might be hitting the fingerpad causing the cursor to move around.

Check Control Panel --> Mouse --> Pointer Options --> and make sure "Enhanced Pointer Precision" is unselected

I also had this problem with a desktop after a Windows upgrade, discovered that Windows had switched to a generic mouse driver. Reinstalling the Logitech mouse driver fixed the problem.

This is something that does happen. It happened to me for awhile. Someone on the board fixed it. It was a set combination of keys. I know, because I used to do it to staff to mess with their heads. Now, I can't remember it. But, it only started the message from the right side of the field and didn't reverse it.
