As a disgruntled EPIC user I have a few questions for you lucky dogs still using AC. Will the health maintenance module still allow one to enter their own items? For instance, can you add Low Dose Chest CT for "qualified" smokers? Can you add or does it already have the USPTSF recommended screenings for other things such as AAA?

Hahaha, wish I could!!! But knowing if it can would help me defend myself against the naysayers that plaque me now. What about being able to document both Prevnar and Pneumonia vaccine in HM also? What about being able to add Hepatitis C screening which we all know we should be doing for people born between 1945 and 1965?

I am not a big user of the decision support module (though I keep thinking about it) but I do believe that you can add and edit rules as much as you like.
Yes, the rule is in there with the USPSTF recommendation to test those born between 1945-65, but you could add a rule if needed.

Thanks. By the way, in my post above let me just clarify that that plaque has plagued me for a long time smile

I wonder if there's an ICD-10 code for Plagued by the Epic Plaque?

With Health Maintenance, we're using it more these days. Yes, you can add and edit rules. The edits can be applied to all patients, or to an individual patient. You can also disable any recommendations you aren't tracking or which don't apply to your practice.

Thanks, Anne-Marie, that is pretty much how I remember it was when I had to stop using AC. All I get from the IT team that thinks Epic hung the moon is "we cannot do that". Very frustrating.
