Hello,
Are practices out there happy with the Amazing Charts Practice Management product? Our practice has been using Amazing Charts for many years now. We switched from lytec to medfx in anticipation of the combined practice management product. The combined Amazing Charts Practice Management product came out and it seems there were a lot of problems with it, so we held off. We are now reconsidering. Does anyone have any feedback on this?

Hello Jacqueline,
My personal recommendation at this point is HOLD !!

We implemented Amazing Charts mid October 2015.

Previously we used Amazing EHR + X-link + Lytec. That combo was fantastic.

We moved to ACPM to avoid dealing with 3 vendors. I'm really sorry to report that ACPM support is very poor at this point. Yes we are getting paid BUT we cannot figure out how much money we are loosing because AGING reports are unreliable and difficult and slow to run.

Also ERAs and EOBs won't post on the system if there is more than 1 charge back on any particular patient per EOB. We also find that by the time EOBs and ERAs arrive to ACPM, it is sometimes different from the original issued by the payer, both in dollar amounts and payment reference date.

We have been waiting for ACPM support to fix these issues for close to 3 weeks now. We got a tech support call yesterday and 2 days ago but no fix, the tech didn't seem to have any clue about ACPM issues or how to proceed, so he raised yet another ticket for a later date.

#2- SECURITY issues also remains. Your entire staff will have access to ALL of your practice's financials as you cannot set permissions to limit anybody's access -- it's ALL or NONE. So any of your staff members with ACPM access, even if only to do scheduling, can print, amend, or delete any or ALL your fees, patient lists & reports and just take it home -- leaving you to deal with HIPA consequences. We informed Amazing Charts about this flaw since October 2015 --- NOTHING done as yet.

#3- Support tickets takes weeks to be responded to.

So to summarize, we have not had a good experience with ACPM as a PEDIATRIC office so far, 4 months post going live.

Pediatric billing is not complex, but not straight forward either. It is not uncommon for a single office visit to generate up to 6-8 billing lines. It is also not uncommon for several lines to be denied or adjusted by our payers especially Medicaid payers. so why ACPM can't handle this baffles us.

I'm not sure how many practices have adopted ACPM as yet, and what experiences other practices have. It will be great to hear from others, despite your busy schedules.

It will also be nice if ACPM will share the result of the recent survey of practices using ACPM.

Sincerely,

Akay.

Quick question for AC users. What Practice Management do you recommend for in-house billing? I am concerned about having to use AC+ xlink + different PM, since that requires 3 vendors. What is the most efficient, best integrated solution? Looked at ACPM, not impressed so far and not very well integrated.
