I am in the process of getting a Blab together, to discuss the topic of visualization of the electronic record at the point of care. If any of you are interested in watching the Blab or even jumping on to try it out, I think would be a lot of fun. I will let you know more details in the next day or so. I will include a link about Blab. I have hosted about a dozen Blabs now, and here is a good guide on Blab http://www.marc-levy.com/blab-im-tutorial/#whatisblabAlso here is a link to my Blab site in case you want to watch to get a sense of the medium/format https://blab.im/jimmie_vanagonWill let you know the time & date & would like to Blab with you some time.

Yes, blabs can take unexpected turns for sure lol. I have heard folks who like Google Hangouts, comment Blab is a bit easier popping guests in and out from the running conversation of the right sidebar area. I've found ear buds or headphones are essential to cut down the echo effect. Also especially if "blabbing" from the office, I make sure no PHI is laying around the background or foreground of the area in view, shut my door, put my office phone on mute, Blab when done for the day & if my nurse needs me jump off the blab so no PHI is transmitted. However most of the time I have "blabbed" from home. I think we will likely have our next Blab at 9am EST or 7am MST this Saturday but when I hear from one other "blabber" to verify this will put the Blab link here to subscribe for any one interested in this new intriguing medium. Thanks Roger & all. Have a good day.

So to avoid any confusion the above link now has the completed blab, automatically uploads while recording the blab for later viewing. Not sure if any of you had a chance to watch in real time, sorry if I missed you, but thanks for watching

This is probably the better link to use, and as you can see & it may change, but have had 67 viewers and 4 replays so far on the blab we did on Saturday morning. But if I do another Blab I will let those interested know, so if you do want to hop on, please do. https://blab.im/jimmie_vanagon

I am toying with the subject of integrating tele-medicine into one's practice for the next blab. I would like to transition into offering tele-med consults to existing patients in my practice soon. I envision tele-med visits as an extension of the portal, such as taking care of a patient with bronchits symptoms 70 miles away during a blizzard. Or electronic "house calls" for complex elderly unable to make it to office easily or hospital f/u to review d/c meds&summary recommendations. For those that have taken the leap into tele-med would be great to hear your thoughts on this subject in a blab or on this thread (hijacking encouraged). Thank you in advance for your comments.

Great example of a Blab on the future of family doctors from after #IrishMed tweetchat today. Host Dr Liam Farrell,Ex-family doc, columnist for BMJ + GP. Award-winning writer/broadcaster & Co-host Professor Azeem Majeed, Professor of Primary Care and Head of the Department of Primary Care & Public Health at Imperial College London. Very interesting discussion & if you get a chance recommend watching this https://blab.im/liam-farrell-irishm...rs-co-host-prof-azeem-majeed-azeemmajeed

On Friday,I was part of a Blab with the Dr. Rhew, CMO of Samsung, so this medium is giving folks like me a once in a chance lifetime to intermingle. But here is a link to John Lynn's HealthcareScene. http://www.emrandehr.com/2016/02/23/what-to-expect-at-himss-2016-with-samsung-cmo/Also for those with an Iphone I have Dr Mike Koriwchak's podcast site, The Doctor's Lounge, another great find on Blab/twitter. Our blab on Saturday went well & had lots of fun so click on blab link on two squares up to hear our discussion on the MOC stuff. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-doctors-lounge/id893308864?mt=2&i=355533840I am likely going to lay low on any more blab related stuff unless I get some feedback, but wanted to share for those interested. Thanks, have a good weekend

Seems like a shame, but blab is gone.
