Hello,

We are in the process of setting up AC and Medisoft combination for an office which has 3 providers and 2 locations. From what I understand, we have to create dummy providers like prov1loc1, prov2loc2 and so on in order to setup time for them.
Is this the only way?? Other EMR's we have used have a very straightforward drop down for office name and provider name. Any ideas?

Thanks

Since the practitioner can only be in one location at a time, I don't worry about a separate schedule for each provider/location. For a visual reference on where a particular practitioner is going to be on a certain day, I right click the header (where it is yellow) on the schedule view and just type the location. It will appear in the header next to the name. [Linked Image from amazingcharts.com]

For purposes of billing, there is an option for place of service location when creating your superbill in the account information tab, but I haven't found a way to pre-populate this field based on where the patient is seen (which would be very helpful, as we see a lot of ALF/SNF patients , who we always see/schedule at the same locations)

Thanks for the explanation. So from what I understand, this has to be changed manually every time? Or am I missing something?
e.g
Mon: 9 to 1, Provider 1 is in Location 1 and 2:30 to 5:30 is in location 2 / Provider 2 is in Location 1 all day
similary different schedules over the course of the week.
can this information be stored and shown in AC? The reason this is important is that a patient can call anytime and ask for an appointment on Monday at 11 PM with Provider 1. Now if this Prov1Loc1 column is set then any member of the staff does not have to remember where the provider will be at that time.
