Any updates on if AC decided to move on the turbo version of AC? This was discussed around the release time of v8 that AC was considering doing this for those of us not doing MU.

Scott,

I believe that from AC's perspective, InLight is their answer for non-MU practices that want a lighter weight platform.

I have told every person that I talk to @ AC that the single greatest request is an admin setting to turn OFF Meaningless Use, but there doesn't appear to be a strong enough groundswell for AC to take that seriously .... yet.

There is a serious niche out there for the first EHR vendor that offers broad connectivity and an obscene gesture towards the MU insanity.

Yet another. Me
I wonder if AC has any idea how many of us have abandoned MU?

Can you just imagine a light-weight EHR that that could run customizable reports and queries
-That you could enter orders, then be able to find, modify, and sign them off quickly
-That you could enter and find reminders, modify them, move them to a different time slot or different staff member
-That would simply print out a list of orders or medications for a patient
-That would interface with electronic communications in any other EHR
Etc., Etc.

There is so much potential in AC.
So much wasted by some heavy-handed government mandate, meant to be a standard setting but which mostly serves to encapsulate and preserve outmoded ideas about how an EHR is supposed to run.
