So I've successfully escribed Ambien! Yeah. Some thoughts:
1. If you have medications in the patients profile with notes from AC like "///filled in response to escribe..." you have to take those out. Also, if you have aspirin or other meds that when you click default to quantify 0 to fill, you don't have to inactivate, but you do have to pretend to prescribe them or you can't get to the Newcrop screen. 2. So the Newcrop screen to prescribe is a bit cumbersome, but not impossible. 3. My biggest issue/question, how does one prescribe 3 months of a schedule 2 medication like Adderall? We usually give them 3 prescriptions each with an early fill date, but I don't see this as an option? I could send one 90 day supply, but I don't think this will work? Any thoughts???

Dr. Lee, your post is a testament to how poorly AC has addressed the issue of prescribing controlled medications. It is insane that we should have to pretend to do anything. Maybe we should pretend to pay our Guardian Support fee, or pretend to recommend Amazing Charts to our colleagues.
It is a shame that AC forged ahead with their PM module (has it been successful?... not so much), siphoning off programming talent that could have tidied up a large number of issues with Amazing Charts proper, making all of us very happy, AC-loving medical practitioners.

Seems like AC is trying to do too much at once. Another EMR??? Why not get the current one fixed first???
