We've gotten the billing function of PM working pretty well now. But I am having trouble figuring out how to produce financial reports that tell me what I need to know. The Reporting screen lists all sorts of reports but despite having played around with them I can't figure out how to get the data I need. My old system, Medisoft, was able to give me a report called "Practice Analysis" that told me: total charges, payments (of various sorts), adjustments (of various sorts), and the accounts receivable total. I can't see how to do anything vaguely similar in PM. We've discussed this with our support person without much help.

Any suggestions?

Hello, I am currently scheduled to transition from MediSoft to ACPM. Do you think that I should rather stay with MediSoft? It seems that ACPM reporting function is not as good as MediSoft. How is the billing part working for you? Thanks

Reports are not reliable, that's for sure. I ran reports in AC report writer and then essentially ran the same report (or at least a report that should have generated the same data), and... you guessed it-- they do not match. Nothing I did was able to even vaguely suggest a reason why a simple report would not have correlated. I spoke with our specialist who, I am disappointed to say, gave a lame excuse as to why maybe this happened. Her conclusion: don't use the AC report writer...it's no good. She told me that the report writer in AC was going to be scrapped.

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN ACPM and AC's ability to support it properly.

Dear Sandymar:

What report were you running in AC report writer and then in PM?

John
