Does everyone receive these? I don't find them very helpful for regular discharges. Much prefer the actual dictated ones.
The ones for newborns are so bad, I just delete them. But, it meets the Meaningful Use requirements for CMS and the Office of National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
I wonder what the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology does besides come up with worthless documents like this. I think maybe insure there is redundancy.
"Please note that you will also continue to receive a discharge summary from the treating EMHS hospital. We recognize the information in these two documents is very similar but the MU team has determined that we are required to provide you with much of the discharge information in the Transition of Care Documentation format."
So, I wonder how many people work for the MU team? Another waste of government money.
I think what they like about their format is 1.) the nice tables they use to put VSs and labs in. Doesn't matter if they put the date and time. And, 2.) I think the Table of Contents is just incredible. I think all medical notes should have a table of contents.

I didn't see your post Wayne, sorry.
I would like to hear more comments. I can't decide if I want to keep them or throw them away.
