I realize we are no longer on AC.... But wonder what you know?
We have been advised we will be migrating to SNOMED problem/diagnoses on our RPMS system. Watching the videos, I'm not shure what to think... It could be a great interface between clinicians and the statisticians in love with ICD 10, or a total goat rope. Is this part of the AC world yet?

SNOMED is apparently used in the background in AC, but the output is in either ICD9 or 10

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them

SNOMED is a problem vocabulary that Amazing Charts was require to implement starting with version 7.1.3 to comply with Meaningful Use 2014 certification. SNOMED generally works behind the scenes except when transferring clinical documents including problem data between EHR systems. The intention of having all EHR system use SNOMED is so EHR systems can transfer information about patients using a common ?language? ? aka SNOMED. The introduction of SNOMED also gave Amazing Charts the opportunity to revamp the problem search, making it easier and more flexible to use.
That's basically it in a nutshell.
