We will not be able to use the service. There happened to be too many bugs in the service that could not be solved. Has anyone else used the service ?

Started with Updox 3 weeks ago. Works really well. Did you mean the appointment reminder portion? I personally have not used it. We use updox for all faxes and we are currently collecting the email addresses for the patients so we can use the email notification method for appointment reminders. Difficult at the moment because it seems that many patients do not have one.

I signed up but canceled the same day. It was not usable for us. Once you select the reminder, it cannot be changed for the appointments already made. If you change the reminder type/msg, it only applies to appointments created after that. I also didn't like how the reminders happen exactly 24 hrs before the appointment. An appointment at 8AM monday will get a reminder on Sunday 8AM. Additionally, the txt msg will go to the "cell phone" number only. We put cell phone in the home phone box sometimes when pt doesn't have a home phone.
Currently I use google voice to manually send txt reminders (using a template). Automation would be so much easier but this didn't work out.

We use Appointment Quest for our scheduler. It sends out the reminder email exactly 48 hours before the appointment. This gives some time for them to check their email and cancel or reschedule the appointment...hopefully in time for someone else to take the slot.
To be fair, the standard Updox reminder is actually superior to this since it allows you to select up to 3 reminders and to configure the timing (24 hours, 1 week, 4 hours) of them. I was hoping that Updox would simply add the ability to send the reminder by text message provided there is a cell phone listed for the patient.
Another issue is the Confirmation Request that Updox sends. This is sent as soon as AC uploads the appointment into Updox. I wish we could configure it for...exactly 24 hours before the appointment, unless the appointment is sooner than that in which case it is immediate.

I just wanted to give a couple of quick updates on the Appointment Reminders.
1) We have added the ability to blackout weekends so no reminders will be sent after Friday evening.
2)Anytime you make a change in settings, whether it is regarding the timing of when a reminder is sent out (48 hours to 24 hours) or the type of reminder (text to phone) you are now prompted if you want to apply it to all existing appointments.
3) Serene I will look into the home phone vs cell phone request. Wayne I will look into the timing of the confirmation emails.
Just let us know if you have other feature requests.

how about chat support for updox? Updox has not developed a reputation for good customer support. I think you should invest some effort into that.
