The answer to this question, which should be both obvious and easy to ascertain, has been neither- until now. AC has fixed that issue.
To determine the current recommended version, go to your portal (e.g. amazingcharts.com... client portal) and log in. In the blue box, "Click Here to download the latest version of Amazing Charts". You will see that right now it is 8.02.
In addition, the portal now includes a link to "what is new" in this addition, as well as prior version logs, and "known issues" with the current version.
One other point... if you are running an older version of AC (I believe 6.3.3 or older) when you start AC, you will get a splash screen stating "There is an update available! Amazing Charts V6.6.5 is available." The statement that 6.6.5 is the newest version is incorrect.
