How do you view pictures from old visits? I can't seen to find them when I look at old visits. Is there anyway to pull two up at once, like a before and after?

also,is there anyway to erase a patient record...at least on purpose?
Thanks!

1. In the past encounters: go to the date of encounter, it should be in the bottom.

2. No way to erase a record. Need to put an addendum- pointing to the wrong entry and asking reader to ignore that wrong entry.

No, I mean like totally deleting a patient; kind of like shredding a file of someone you don't see anymore after a few years. lol, I want to get rid of my fictitious patients I've been practicing with on AC

I still can't find the pictures. Here is what I did.

1)Pulled the chart
2)Went to Past Encounters and it's just basically just text. Am I not adding them correctly or something. I'm doing botox, so before and after pics and where I injected is an important thing to know.

Scott,
I gather you have already entered many "real" patients too??? If so then you are basically screwed without getting deep into the guts of the database which is way beyond me but perhaps not with some of the more technically smart people here.

If you have no real patient encounters worth keeping. I would delete AC or cut out the database folders inside the AC folder and put back empty ones to start with a nice fresh clean database. We still have two false patients in ours. One for playing and testing with, "James Bond" as well as "New Patient" as a place holder in the schedule until any new patient walks thru the door for that first appointment. Then we enter their data in demographics and enter their appointment where it really belonged. We did want to have lots of extra chart numbers messing up our data with patients that never established.

On this I have requested either a double numbering system, one for temp numbers of folks who called, got entered but never established and one for all the real patients. Or at least an extra radio button(s) to be able to have the system track those that actually established and those that never got in. And I would like the system not to add their data to the real patient pool, or at least be able to separate it out or combine it as needed.

We all get a ton of calls from folks who then never get their butts in here and we need a way to document these events and people just in case a few of them then try to use their lack of motivation to come in and establish against us and our providers. Yet their data should not be squewing our real patient population data. It is the reality of our situations.

Scott,

I don't do pictures but have occasionally used illustrations before. I just went to look for one I did on a lac repair last week and I can't find it either. Maybe this is a bug in the system. I would suggest trying to send a bug report on it.

Paul,
For patients who aren't established, we have made up a patient called PHONE CONSULT and we use that to document people who are not established yet. Also use this for covering call and documenting phone calls for patients of a different practice. I realize it does help with people who make appts and never show, but it does allow for documentation of some of those calls. We just put the patient name, DOB or whatever in the message subject for easier tracking if you ever need to look one of those notes up.

Scott,
That is basically what we are doing with "New Patient" but I would really like a system that takes people in and assigns them "temp #123" let's say. Then when they come in and actually establish, if the next chart # available is 456, so you would hit a radio button to activate that temp patient into a real patient, they now become "AC456". Just another pain in the rump kind of thing we all have to deal with in the stupid business every day.

Now we can track and document these never show but call and make demands types of people, as well as, have a fairly clean and uncluttered database for all the "real" patients....

FYI, I finally found the pictures I had saved before, but not under past encounters tab. If you go to the most recent note tab, click on the arrow for using previous note as template and select the date you took the pictures, you will be able to see the pics under the pictures tab on the PE portion of your note. Not an easy way to find it, especially since doing this will replace any text you have entered so far. Anyone else notice this?

I am trying to find pictures as well. Did you find out anything previously? I have a call in to tech support to find out too. Thanks much!

Did anyone determine the answer to where the pictures are? I have found mine by selecting print from a previous encounter and they are at the bottom... but they are not there if you are simply viewing the past encounter without the print preview..
