Hello,
I am curious if there are any users who share Amazing Charts with providers from a different specialty?
I am a Rheumatologist and I plan to share office space and patients with an Internal Medicine practice that has been running AC for several years. Of course I will get my own license for prescribing etc, but will share their database server and computers.
Specifically, I am curious if there will be any issues/conflicts with importing labs, Rx refills, attesting to Meaningful use (since I am just starting my practice), etc.
Lastly, any other Rheumatologist in this User Board?
Feel free to contact me directly.
Thanks!

This opens up a big can of worms. Many forward thinking issues will arise. The first one is how can you get your data out of the database in a useable format if you move. Secondly, and this will happen....you will be able to see anything on the database unless you and your staff are excluded. There could be data that you should not see under those H guidelines. I am sure others will have a lot to say on this and there were some old discussions on this same subject.

I don't recommend that you share databases. Too many issues. Best to spend a few extra bucks and get your own AC. That way at least the data is always yours.
