I have attested 3 times for stage 1 (2011,2012,2013). My question is can I attest to 2013 Stage 1 again if I have the 2011 Version 6 of AC. Did not have enough time to upgrade to 2014 Version 7 for MU Stage 2, which is what I was supposed to attest to.
Thanks in advance for the responses.

Dear Huskies,
Yes, you can attest under Stage 1 again. You and I are in the same boat. I also attested for stage 1 in 2011, 2012, and 2013. I have also been using v6 and attested for stage 1 on Oct. 21, 2014. I used 7/1-9/30/14 as my reporting period. You just have to attest for 3 months of data this time.

I also attested stage 1 three times in 2011, 12, 13. I have AC 7.1.3. Can I attest stage 1 again? I was planning to attest from 10/1/14 to 12/31/14. Thank you.

My understanding is that since you have upgraded to a Stage 2 compliant EHR, you will need to attest to Stage 2. Since I had not upgraded to V7; I was able to attest again for Stage 1 for the 3rd year. Greg

I am sorry if it sounds naive. I am just not too familiar with the MU requirements. I attested for a 3 month period in 2013, got paid for meeting the requirement and have not done anything since. I have started receiving letters from CMS that as I did not meet the meaningful use requirements in 2013, my payments will be reduced by 1.5%. What am I doing wrong?

Naeem, I would guess that your 1.5% penalty is for failing to participate in PQRS, which is a separate issue from meeting MU requirements. Read about that one here.

I attested to an extra year of Stage 1 even though I was using version 7.
