Hi all, 2 weeks ago all my lab results from Labcorp are coming back sample mismatch, It has been working fine all year and lab results from other labs (ie Quest) are working fine. I contacted Lab corp and they say the following:

I have reviewed the issue with Amazing Charts and have another doctor with the similar issue. If you are getting a mismatch error for the PID and it is pointing the Labcorp specimen# and seems to be trying to match on this value I have identified the problem with the other account I am working with.



A global change was made on the delivery of Labcorp results for all Amazing Charts clients. The other account I am working with is no longer paying support to Amazing Charts so this new change was not set up on his EMR. The year was added to the end of the Labcorp specimen# in many of our HL7 result message segments and the EMR does not recognize the 2014 year and produces this error. I checked with our corporate developers on this and because it was a global change we cannot change it back on a client specific account. If we change it this will be global for all Amazing Charts clients.


Does anybody have a fix for this problem any suggestions would help, sorry for the long post
