Our entire area seems to be running out of hydrocodone. Is this a local problem, or is anyone else experiencing a pharmacy shortage?

We have spotty shortages here in Central Florida also. I was told by a local pharmacist that the reformulation of the hydrocodone-acetaminophen combinations has caused supply constraints. Also DEA or state authorities are auditing the top dispensing pharmacies here (the home of the "pill-mill") for scheduled drugs. So the "shortages" may be a way for pharmacies to keep off the feds radar.

We were told that due to the volume of hydrocodone needed in Florida, the rest of us would just have to use Tylenol. (Sarcasm font off).
