Has anyone encountered a rejection of Walgreens diabetic supply form signed in Updox electronically?? Walgreens is requesting hand signature or the phase "electronic signature" with time and date under the signature done in updox to be accepted as per Medicare requirements as I was told!! Can updox add such a feature to the current electronic signature as in AC where at the end of each note it says "electronically signed by MD"? It is such a waste of time to print form, sign it then scan it to be faxed, especially when Medicare is pushing EHR and paperless system.

Have you tried E-prescribing the diabetic supplies instead?

I use Dragon to dictate a keyword into the text tool in the Updox edit window that types "Electronically signed by Dr. ... on ..."

Marty, I do eprescribing but per medicare rules, diabetic supply stores / pharmacies send me a recertification form for such supplies every 6 months which needs to be completed, signed and faxed back.
John, I love you suggestion. Thanks.
