Does anyone know how to get rid of the multiple wrong entries for the insurance companies listed on the Demographics page so it won't show up on the pull down menu?

Q: "There is a mispelled item in one of the drop down boxes!"
A: The drop down combo boxes in the Patient Demographic window are generated by finding all the unique entries for each patient. In other words, if you've spelled New York for one patient like "Neu York" then that spelling will appear in the drop down box UNTIL you find the patient under which you misspelled it, and fix it.
To find the patient(s) on whom you made the error, use the Search button at the top of the Amazing Charts Desktop, and lookup the misspelled word. Go down the resultant list and fix each misspelling, and the problem will be solved.

How do you get rid of multiple entries of the same Insurance company? Delete it ??? It creates loads of problems when the billing is exported.

The program is polling all the patients' insurance and generating an 'unique' entry. You need to find the one that is 'multiple' entry, usually due to an extra space here or comma there or two spaces between PO BOX, etc etc etc. Even if the Name is the same but the address could be entered just slightly different.
For example:
Medicare POBOX 12345 Virginia USA Medi-care POBOX 12345 Virginia USA Medicare PO BOX 12345 Virginia USA Medicare PO BOX-12345 Virginia USA
Are all considered 'different insurance' entries.
The real fix should be a separate database table for just insurance demographics only and only one place to add/remove the entries. Write to AC/John or it won't get fixed.

scslmd,
Do you know if Access does the "unique" polling? or is it part of Amazingchart code? or part of Window's program?
I figure the prescription writer is organized the same way where the massive FDA medication database is separated into "unique" entries and then we get the choices of medications to choose from.
