I'd like the system to easily keep a list of referrals and allow me to print them.w/o saving a letter each time. Currently, to quickly print out a referral I need to print out a letter that I templated. This saves it in the Imported Items folder, causing the folder to slowly explode.
In the demographics section, there is a spot where you can add a referral, but no way to easily print it out. Also, they ALL print out on the Summary sheet and sometimes you don't want that.
It seems you should be able to click on "Make Referral" from within the patient's chart. A screen would come up and you would select the speicalist from the rolodex. You could then add a Diagnosis / Reason for referral. Now click Print and it prints and simultaneously adds it to that referral list currently on the demographics page so you have an updated referral list. you should also be able to access that referral and mark that the patient actually went, or that you reminded them of it. This is what our malpractice insurance provider recommends to limit your liability (the referral lists). I'd like to see AC make these things easier to accomplish.

Does not have a way to see that it got done but if you use ORDERS and select the person you are referring to it is populated from the rolodex - you can click on the diagnoses or add ones as well as you can type something in the comment before you click on the person and add something like 'referring for recurrent tendonitis of left arm' Will print and save as order.
