I'm really sorry for posting this question but after reviewing the posts thus far, I'm still not clear - WHICH version of AC is capable of successfully recording and reporting Stage 1 2013 criteria?

I'm currently using 7.1.1
I attested to Stage 1 in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Was planning to do Stage 2 this year until we were so graciously granted the reprieve. SO as of now, will attempt Stage 1 for yet a 4th time from Oct 1 - Dec 31 this year.
Unless things change, I will probably never attest to Stage 2 and take the penalties and/or fire Medicare at some point.

But, for now, do I need to upgrade to 7.1.2 or something else this weekend or can I successfully attest to Stage 1 criteria using 7.1.1?

Dear Jim,

No need to apologize, it IS confusing. AC posted an explanation about this. You don't have to upgrade in order to attest this year--though you might want to for other reasons. Using V7.1.1 you will use the 2014 MU standard. This includes use of the portal. Here and here are detailed explanations of the 2014 standard from CMS.

If you need further help, I would contact tech support and ask to talk to one of the meaningful use folks.
