I have a hypothetical question, that may become reality in the next year.
In an office of two physicians, if the partnership dissolves and each goes their own way, is it possible to export from AC all the patients that belong to each provider (and their attached files/images) so that when they open their solo practices they have charts for their patients, and don't have charts for the other physician?
I can easily give each physician a copy of the database to take with them, but would really prefer, given current privacy laws, not to pass on data for patients they won't be seeing.

Marty, I figure I'll have to ask them, but my experience with AC support has been such that I don't have much faith in their ability/willingness to do much when it comes to the database. I was hoping someone on the board had experience with trying to do this.

I don't know about "often" but I do post. And, yes, I've split a database before as well as merged two databases.
