Well, I just got off a useless chat with Colleen. Hopefully someone here can shed some light.

We use eprescribe. As we look back at what was done, we see that some of the pharmacy names are removed (so it did not record where the prescription was sent). There is no record of the number of pills prescribed, or number of refills authorized. Colleen states this is info that SureScripts sends, so it's not an AC issue. Shouldn't the EMR record this information? Isn't that the whole idea? Who can remember a prescription detail from 2 months ago? If you need to remind yourself of what you did, wouldn't you want to just look up the patient history and see what you prescribed?

Any ideas, other than more manual typing on the patient's chart?

The pharmacy where sent is sometimes left out and I believe this is indeed when doing a refill sent via surescrips/newcrop - as far as history - number of pills and refills are in the scrip history - go to individual scrip and choose history. Unfortunately this assumes you follow the rules as noted when doing refills - make sure the number of tabs matches when matching - you can get back a refill request from a pharmacy for 60 pills and match it to a scrip with 30 and it will not change that in the history.
