Hello everyone, just wanted to see if you can find a better way to do this. Every other Wednesday I write up my consult notes to send out to PCPs. I usually run a report looking at the date range (last 2 weeks) and then I do a report for each of the consult codes. This works fine except it will pull everyone I've seen in the last two weeks that I have ever billed a consult code (which is only on the first visit) whether it was their first visit or not. Can I add another search parameter to just pull people I billed the consult code on those to weeks only or is there some other way do get a list like this that I'm not thinking about. Thanks!

Scott, The reporting function has its limitations; there may be a direct way to do what you want but I cannot think of one. How about this: insert some sort of verbiage in the note of each new consult. It could be a simple as adding the words "-new consult" to the chief complaint. (Alternatively you add some random symbol like "###" somewhere in their note. Every two weeks you run a report on "Notes and Encounters"...Field: "Chief Complaint"... Contains: "New Consult".
