I'm so confused... 1. Summaries are no longer being counted. A CCD printing problem? 2. When you go to the "send CCD to portal", it says it sends it, but it does not. Do I still have to fake print to get credit for summaries? Why are these two connected, since they are different MU items??? 3. The CCD that is theoretically sent is based on the last note, not the current one. How useless is that? 4. We use an outside billing company. So we don't "order" tests in our EMR, we have a paper billing sheet. So are we not going to get credit for labs unless we put in an order? And then it somehow goes to Labcorp and later gets reconciled??? Same with radiology order??? I don't see how to make this work. 5. AC isn't counting my escribed prescriptions which I did all day today. 6. For Core 7, we use Updox, but how do I prove that??? Same with Core 17?
Ok so it's only day one, but seems impossible.

1), 2) and 3) I feel your pain, believe me. I'm also vexed by not seeing the CCD go out yet. On the bright side, when it does start to work properly, if you have the 'send CCD automatically at end of encounter' checked off, it should send the CCD from the encounter you just signed off, not the visit prior.
4) The reconciliation of orders is a pain still, and I brought it up to the developer guys. You can manually reconcile orders you've placed to items in your imports, its just time consuming. I've suggested that they at least have the reconciliation available from the sign off screen for imports.
5) It appears eprescribing may be having some issues today. I can't get any of mine to go at all currently.

Stefan from Amazing Charts emailed and called me, and he was VERY helpful!
1. You still need to print summaries. But you can automatically send CCD at the end of your encounter. You have to make sure under the Updox admin section this is active, and you have to connect securely between Updox and AC. Beware, you have to connect users in the right order or duplicates are made in Updox. They are still working that out on the Updox side since this happened to me. All in all, this is an easy item to meet. 2. The CCD has to include ALL ITEMS to count (except inactive meds). Otherwise it won't count. 3. You have to "order" labs and then when they come back, you get credit. It just goes by the number you order. So if you order 3 labs, and they get imported by Labcorp, you get credit. You don't really have to order the exact ones as I understand. 4. Radiology is a little different. You just have to order, then later click on order and say done/results received and you get credit for this one. 5. You do have to send more patient education, but I'm sending "flu shot info" since it is flu season and patients are given the VIS sheet.
I'm sure I'll run into more snags, but much less daunting today than yesterday.
Thanks again Stefan!

Major issue emerged with 7.1.2. E scripts are not counting toward MU2. I spent three days on this issue, chatted and talked to 6-7 people altogether, including highest level of tech support. Turns out that when they tested software, they tested it on SureScripts Test pharmacy and it did work. When sending to real pharmacy it is not counted toward MU2. They do not have a fix. They tried everything, check this, uncheck that. They uploaded my database. As of hour ago there is no solution yet. They were toying with this issue for two days, but got very serious today. I was told that several practices are reporting exactly same issue. There is more: some curious bug - when choosing BMI V85.x in drop down Diagnosis menu, there is no V85.30 for BMI 30-30.9. There is one for BMI 29-29.9, there is one for 31-31.9. Very strange.

huh instructions say that you have to click the formulary tab each time you write a script I assumed that was why it wasn't counting on my scripts did you try that already and it doesn't work?
bummer!
trying to start for quarter 4 for MU2 Sept 1 hope it can get fixed before then if not formulary checking issues
about those radiology orders - it says you have to reconcile the order with the IMAGES as far as I know, I aint gettin any images just reports is this one of those half truth things - just say yes you received the image when you did not?
so I'm wondering to get credit for MU2 core 7 and 8 patient electronic access and clinical summaries which I think may be the same as MU1 core 12 and 13 electronic copy of health information and clinical summaries I think at the end of the day, can you go to summary page of each patient you've seen and open summary sheet, click on send summary, send full patient summary and then send the day's visit summary from the drop down menu ( export to portal) all in one fell swoop? to get credit for these two cores?
jeezum!!
