OK, so I'm tired of my otherwise great employees accidentally sending lab results for patient 9234 to 9324. It is a simple human error, but a HUGE HIPPA violation. It happens a few times a month. We almost always catch it when it is sent to the provider to sign off the lab being sent. Then we remove from portal and I delete from AC chart. There is so much redundancy and room for error with this method. When I send a patient a lab result or letter, it should IMMEDIATELY and DIRECTLY go to them. If I send it Saturday, there is no reason patients should have to wait until Monday when my staff arrives to send it to them. I've been complaining about this for a long time now, hoping it would get fixed, but now reading about version 7, it seems NOT yet fixed. This is really ridiculous. Updox says it is AC's fault. Not sure whose fault it is, but we could not run our office without Updox, and the two need to get together and get this fixed ASAP.
Over it!
