I have been trying to get an update to version 7. After multiple requests for date, I have received varying answeres First time around, AC did not see my request for ver 7.0 and wanted to update me to 6.6.7 (I am already on 6.2) On the second go around they said get a date after July 1
attestation for MU starts on July 1.
Next they gave me an email sating they are only updating for MU1, since they need to start using the program July 1 and wait till after July 17 This will certainly not qualify for 90 day use that starts on july 1.
Has anyone had any luck, with getting a meaning ful upgrade date for MU 2.
Great that AC finally got 2014 certified Bad we cannot upgrade in time to use it

Has anyone had any luck, with getting a meaning ful upgrade date for MU 2. I am on AC 6.6.7. I was with AC support. They first informed me that they were now upgrading to V7 to those who responded to their request to upgrade to V7. When I informed them that I had responded to their request to upgrade to V7 they said that the upgrade is only available after July 1, 2014 !!!

Hi Sunil, We are currently scheduling upgrades for practices needing to start their MU Stage 1 reporting. MU Stage 1 practices need to be using the software by July 1st. Most of our practices are going to be reporting on MU Stage 2. MU Stage 2 reporting must start no later then October 1st. We will be scheduling upgrades for all practices wanting to achieve MU Stage 2 starting sometime in July. This will hopefully provide practices with some time to familiarize themselves with the MU changes before they have to start reporting.

Yall tell me if I'm off base, but the order being applied to docs wanting to up-grade in preparation seems a little bass-acword. I would think a company would want to support its long-time loyal customers, such as those who have been using AC for some time, given constructive feedback over the years, and have finished MU stage 1 and want to move on to stage 2. Isn't it a little embarrassing the government is more prepared or is waiting on AC to move forward. Why must long-time adopters of AC wait on those who just got on the EMR train? From a consumer stand-point, why wait for a product from one company when other companies have products that are ready to go?

V7 is currently BETA.
If you want to get on the waiting list, fine!
But are you really prepared to deal with all the bugs that Betas can introduce? Then spend more time trouble shooting them?
Yes, you need V7 for MU1 and MU2. It's a 3 month reporting period and you have 6 months. Granted, it would be better to have a full 12 months, but you have all the basics before you, if you have everything in place, 6 months is fine.
Get on the list, don't be in a hurry to be a Beta Tester (unless you really want to be)

I just got updated to version 7! Nananabooboo, I'm better than you!
It's pretty much the same except for a new "SECURE" button that apparently links to Updox stuff, though I haven't figured out how to use it yet. AC tech was busy but is supposed to call soon to help set it up. FYI, as noted by Wendell above, it is still a Beta version, so it might reverse gravity occasionally.... I'm a user since 2003, but only just now doing meaningful use. So, had to plunge in.

Found out that the SECURE button does not work yet IF you got Updox directly from Updox, as I did. Apparently it will work if you got Updox through AC. Version 7.1 is to fix this I am told. Meanwhile, make sure when you click on the SECURE button you say "BOINGOINGOING"! AC techs were very nice and helpful, but version 7 is still a bit new for everybody.
