Is it possible, or can it be in the future, to import a surescript search from NewCrop directly into the medication list? When I try it shows on the medication page but not in the medication box on the note. Also, why can't I open NewCrop when any of the medications on the list has not been prescribed (i.e. with dispense and refill #)?

Second portion of question medication has not been prescribed
You can pretend to prescribe as you normally would for all medications including OTC aspriin etc, just don't send to pharmacy on next page
Works best for new pts with no meds on list
Will try out the other issue

But if I "pretend" to prescribe, will AC then record it as having been prescribed by me even if it does not go to the pharmacy? I will test that with some aspirin. Thanks!

Yup, if I "pretend" to prescribe, AC records it as a real event. This could be a medicolegal issue down the line.... Also, it can be confusing when doing refills in follow up (did I (specialist) refill this or is the PCP refilling....?) Looks like a thing to address in updates.

I usually fill in the refill box with "Rxed at hosp" or equivalent to distinguish those I wrote from med reconciliation

That being said, another way is to double click the current meds box and enter it that way. That will separate what you Rxed from outside.

But if the med is only entered in the current meds box, it is an incomplete prescription and NewCrop will not open with one of those on the list.
