I have been using a tablet for about 2 months now and am very happy except for the virtual lack of any touch screen capabilities in AC.
Starting this thread to see if there is enough mass to move AC in this direction, I mean life has to more than MU and ICD-10, the programmers are probably bored with that stuff by now.

Of course. I had been using my Ipad for a while with gotomy pc login from the exam room and the ability to increase the size of the screen to show the parent the growth chart is great. Since then used a windows 8 touch tablet and do miss that function. Also the buttons on AC are small and increasing the size of them on occasion for better touch is also great.

I have been running AC off my a Surface Pro for about 3 Months. Initially I did not think the small text size would bother me, but it does. I have old eyes. By the end of the day I have difficulty reading the screen.
Did you ever find a way to enlarge the text size?

Haven't tried yet but maybe do this http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/use-magnifier-to-see-items

myself I just use my bifocals and a small mouse and put the surface pro on the counter right next to me

@koby

That is really cool, worked great. I wonder if the Surface Pro will have enough pixels to handle it. But, it's pretty cool. I wonder how a feature like that can be around that long and not know about it.

@DrF

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but there is an Enlarge Textbox that is next to Set Flags at the top of a chart. It allows templates and anytime you want you can enter your data.

@koby,

Man, never cease to be amazed at what I learn on this board. Thank you for that tip!

Leslie,

Are you referring to the bifocals?

Even with my bifocals I sometimes need a little extra help. Nice to be able to see all the places I have to click here in Epic!

So glad you are still on our board, Leslie. I think I should make you a mod. That would be cool. A mod using a different EMR. That would be epic.

Yea, sure. By "mod" you mean "hip", "groovy", "Kool beans, baby"? I am pretty mod, here in my bifocals and Medicare-endorsed diabetic footwear. I think I am a test case here....to determine the age at which Epic can no longer be mastered.
Interesting fact learned yesterday, however. Epic's electronic signature and electronic prescribing has not been approved by Right Source in Ohio. At least that is what we were told....specifically an Epic issue. It still boggles my mind why so many people like this EMR allowing it to rank high on the lists.
