Had a quirky problem lately. My DEA number doesn't always show up on the printed prescription. Then the pharmacy calls and says they can't fill it. But it's quirky--sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I did three scripts for one patient--two had the DEA and one didn't. The DEA box is checked in the Script Writer.
Anyone else had similar issues? I'm using 6.6.1 in the Cloud.

Off and on but not enough to call support. There are at least two workarounds if it is happening enough.
The first, which doesn't look great, is to put the DEA# in the 2nd line of your address. Of course, that isn't bad for scripts, but looks fairly bad for letters, etc. But, then it is always there.
The second one is probably better. You go to the admin section and select SET PRESCRIPTION FORMAT and enter it in Notes on All Future Prescriptions. This will put it in the Notes to Pharmacists just under the sig.

Thanks, Bert. I really like the second suggestion. It's one less thing I'll have to worry about tomorrow morning. And I would much rather worry about taking care of patients than whether the DEA gets printed. :-)

If you approve a controlled substance it will print out a prescription to be signed and faxed, but that prescription will not have the DEA # event though your regular prescriptions do. Greg

Hope it helps John. I love workarounds. Got to do a few around here, lol.

This is really weird. The DEA numbers just stopped printing -- and sometimes my license number doesn't print either.
I have changed nothing. I ran the utilities.
Where is this bug?
I did put the DEA# in the Notes to Pharmacists -- that will work for now.

Dumb question, but you do have them selected in the prescription on the right?

Exactly, I have been doing that for months. Every script. I think, could be wrong, that the two latest versions fix this.
See this is the kind of thing I would see as a developer and say, uuhh, no way can this bug stay here.

It worked fine for years. Just quit a couple of weeks ago. Still on 6.3.3
