On one of my work stations using xp,
I opened e-prescribing and prescription status and received an error message:

The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TSL channel.

Check your internet connection and try again

guardian support tried to help me fix this but was not able to;
any suggestions?

This is a certificate issue. Likely expired.

I have no idea. This is what I get when I Google it. There are many answers, but they all seem a bit difficult. I have never seen this error before. Have you tried reinstalling AC on that work station?

See PM for more information.

Have you checked the date and time of the computer? Having the wrong date/time will causes errors with SSL certificates.

Good point. But, Microsoft usually phones home to get the time unless one doesn't check off the DST box. But, then it is only happening on one computer.

This seems to be one area where support isn't up on --> SQL.

I've always had issues with Microsoft's time server (time.windows.com). Especially with older versions of Windows. I usually change the default to pool.ntp.org.

It's a drop shadow effect from Photoshop. To generate the same effect in Illustrator requires a series of complicated steps. It was originally designed in Photoshop (raster-based) then later redesigned in Illustrator (Vector-based)
