The order of security is

Remote Web Access (requires two logins) fully encrypted
RDP just a bit over the 3rd party programs fully encrypted
LMI and GTMA, which has a server in the middle, but is still very secure fully encrypted

There is a Black Friday sale on Malwarebytes Pro thru Monday for $15 instead of $25

http://www.malwarebytes.org/blackfriday2013/?gclid=CIzd9ebhi7sCFcZefgodaj0AMg

and a sale on Bitdefender Total Security anti-virus 3 PCs for 1 year for $24 instead of $80

http://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/antivirus-comparison.html

I imagine there are other deals, but this is the least expensive weekend of the year to update your protection.
