OK, I have had 4 days of training now on Epic and still do not know how to sign a chart and close it!
This hospital system employs around 6000 people and has three hospitals and 12 outpatient clinics. They cannot fax to PC, have no document management software and cannot import data from a CD or anywhere directly into the chart. So, the 20000 patients of mine from my previous practice that have their charts in PDF format on a CD would be screwed! I offered to let them use my FREE copy of Paperport! Also told them about UpDox....in one ear, out the other. When a faxed refill request comes in, it is printed out, put in a basket for me to sign, faxed back and then rescanned and put somewhere....haven't figured out where yet.
They have no providers (other than me now) that are preparing for year three of meaningful use....the software was not ready until last year.
Wendell, I am having PP withdrawal!
Indy, I am no longer the ShortKeys Queen....can't use them here.
Guys.....thank your lucky stars!

Wendell, I am having PP withdrawal! But... You are being paid and get out on time. Sad commentary on the state of health care these days.

Leslie,
I suggest go on strike. That must be so frustrating! We had to do that with centricity in a larger practice and it literally was the final straw that drove me to private practice.
Sorry!!!
