Two things;
I would like to have another update.
The last update 9/17/13 link actually goes to a 3/29/2013 update. So visitors are getting a very dated update. Please fix.

I would like to state my enthusiastic support for Dan's request.
"Ill be posting at the end of each month going forward. If you forget to check the User Board we will remind you with an email so you don?t miss it!"
Even a monthly posting stating there is nothing to state would be better than silence!

This is a test. This is a test of the Amazing Charts User Board Monitoring System. This is only a test. The users, in voluntary cooperation with the HHS and other federal, state, and local authorities, have developed this system to keep Amazing Charts informed in the event of a problem needing the attention of Amazing Charts. Again, this is only a test.

I'd like to hear more of the challenges they have in front of them, not just when they have something new.

Dan,
If you open the forum where Chris' updates are, you will find four posts. Starting with the bottom post and moving upwards, they are dated properly. The top post is dated in March correctly. Each post that is made is dated or time stamped, and these cannot be changed without quite a bit of time working in the Control Panel by an admin.
Each of the first three posts from the bottom also match up with the date it was posted. If a post is "re-posted", which I believe the top one was, the date of the post will stay the same, but the date it was posted will change to the day it was actually posted.
So, there are two very small issues with the posts. One is the the top post should be moved down (not worth the effort), and that one post (the top one) appears to be posted at the wrong date. While this can cause confusion, it is what it is, and I doubt it will be changed.
This does not address the fact that the posts are not coming monthly, a result of biting off more than one can chew. Quarterly, which is what it seems to be currently, would have made more sense.

Comment:
I am probably the biggest poster on this, so I take full responsibility. For me, and this is just my opinion, we are looking at these updates the wrong way.
I rememember 1 1/2 to 2 years ago, when the Star Printer was not working without a crazy workaround and ePrescribe was down for six months, we were crying out for someone to come on the board and update us as to what was happening. I think an update with a six month issue is better than no update with a three month issue. That was a bad time for AC and the board.
But as far as updates for the future, I don't understand why we need them and we all cry out for them. Where does this stem from. Let's look at other companies, albeit much larger.
Microsoft (especially Office Suites) Adobe Backup Assist All A/V programs All billing programs
(I may have listed some that prove me wrong).
But, I don't get emails from Medware, Microsoft, or Adobe telling me we are doing this and that and will have them in a few months. Microsoft does that with their OS and they are constantly off with the timing. But, that is simply, we will have Windows 8 out in the next quarter. There are exceptions where a company such as Apply may advertise upcoming features in their iPhone, but they aren't talking about fixes and driver updates. Sending out an email to talk about why New Crop is an issue and should be fixed is different.
For the most part, I have always thought we should anticipate v6.6.1.1, and when it comes out, the release notes should be there so you can decide whether you want to go that route including known issues.
I also think the best way to go with updates (if we need them) would be News Emails, which link to the website, so that they are always there and don't require the ACUB to display them. Plus, they are much more professional. Thoughts?

Per demand, I have also taken the liberty to clean up the post that Sunil so graciously posted. Thanks, Sunil. Very helpful. Unfortunately, the formatting as Dan pointed out didn't translate. I have deleted the extra lines and bolded the categories.
I did keep a copy of the post in case Sunil objects. I just thought he would be OK with it. Besides, it was past the time he was allowed to edit it.

Thanks Bert! for the answer and the editting.
I'm happy with your answer and will give up on the drip drip drip reminder about an update. So the last update was in August, and I forgot that.
Anyway for further light reading, a la Sunil, and in case someone didn't get the email I received from AC...
Dear Daniel,
We realize our announcement to partner with MEDfx as our PM solution may have left you with unanswered questions. We've put together this Q&A document to help answer your questions. However if you still have questions feel free to contact us.
Is MEDfx PM going to be an Amazing Charts branded solution? How much will the integrated EHR/PM cost? I heard PM will cost from $399 to $499 per month? If the integrated PM solution is not available until 2014, what can I do today? Will it be easier to switch from MEDfx PM to the integrated EHR+PM system in 2014, as opposed to switching from another PM system? How solid is MEDfx as a company and a solution? What can I do today with Kareo and other PM systems? How can I easily compare all my options side-by-side? Who can guide me? Who can I talk to about the specifics of the file interface with Kareo, EZclaim, or any other PM system you support??
Q: Is MEDfx PM going to be an Amazing Charts branded solution? A: Yes. Our plan is to offer a seamlessly integrated EHR+PM solution by mid-2014. This solution will have a single sign-on for both EHR and PM, a single database for both applications, and the same User Interface (UI) look and feel. It will be branded, sold, and supported as Amazing Charts Practice Management (PM). Q: How much will the integrated EHR/PM cost? I heard PM will cost from $399 to $499 per month? A: No, we have not yet announced a price for the Amazing Charts PM solution. You should not look at the current price of MEDfx PM as any indication of the eventual price for Amazing Charts PM.
Amazing Charts PM will be a separate product, based on MEDfx technology, but specifically built for the Amazing Charts Users. We remain committed to our core tenants of affordability and usability, and this product will be priced affordably. Q: If the integrated PM solution is not available until 2014, what can I do today? A: If you already use MEDfx today, we can offer a file-based interface to MEDfx PM that includes demographics, appointment scheduling and charge entry. This interface serves as a step towards the integrated solution of the near future.
Amazing Charts clients can also start using MEDfx PM today at special pricing and special terms until it?s time to move to our integrated solution. The price for the interim solution from MEDfx will be $249 per Clinician per month, with a fixed clearinghouse fee of $49 per Clinician per month. It is a 12-month contract, but cancellable at any time if you are moving to the Amazing Charts Integrated solution.
This is a special offer directly from MEDfx and exclusively for current Amazing Charts users. For details on this offer, please contact MEDfx at 800-421-9497, option #1, or Amazing Charts at 866-382-5930, option #2. Q: Will it be easier to switch from MEDfx PM to the integrated EHR+PM system in 2014, as opposed to switching from another PM system? A: Yes. If you start using MEDfx today, the transition, training and data migration to the integrated Amazing Charts EHR+PM solution will be faster, easier, and more controlled.
MEDfx PM supports ICD-10 coding today. If you start using MEDfx now, the transition to ICD-10 can begin immediately, reducing your risk of not meeting the deadline of October 1, 2014. You can begin the training and testing today. Q: How solid is MEDfx as a company and a solution? A: MEDfx Corporation is a privately-held company with a long history of delivering innovative healthcare solutions. The company started in Practice Management software 25-years ago and has established itself as a leader in the PM and health interoperability professional services, systems integration, and software engineering. More than 10,000 practices nationwide and millions of patient lives have benefited from the performance, reliability, and engineering excellence of MEDfx solutions.
Q: What can I do today with Kareo and other PM systems? A: Kareo is one of the leading PM solutions being used by Amazing Charts EHR clients. Dan,
Thanks. I am confused, though. Are those your answers or AC's?

They were AC's, as in the e-mail they sent around.

I never go it. But, I know the temp is around $250 + $50 for the clearinghouse. Plus, that is per physician. This is a "discount" from their usual prices. I don't know what the integrated price is. Per month. I don't know, I guess if you are used to $100.00 per year for all physicians, it seems like a lot. Not sure I need anything else.
